Dining at Kersey
Reservations
Reservations are available for our main dining room, upstairs dining room, and bar. Please note which table you have selected when making your reservation. Please be sure to include every member of your party in your reservation. Reservations made for a smaller party than the one that arrives may not be able to be accommodated. Kiddos count, as well!
Cancellations
Mon & Wed: 4-9, Thur-Sun: 11-9, Lunch Menu: Thur-Sat 11-3, Brunch Menu: Sun 11-3, Dinner Menu: All other times
If you have reserved a party of 10 or more, and/or booked a special event or holiday, and unfortunately have to cancel your reservation with us at the last minute, you will be charged $25 per person. We hope you understand that this is because we will now not be able to book that table. Please do your best to cancel your reservation no less than 24 hours before to avoid a charge.
Handicap Access
There is a ramp around the back right side of the building, along with a lift on the front left side of the building. Both of these spaces are for drop off, not parking. The first floor of Kersey House is handicap accessible. However, if you reserve a table in our upstairs dining room, please be aware when making your reservation that this area is not.
Pet Policy
Pets are not permitted. Service dogs that are trained to do work or perform a task for persons with disabilities are welcome.
Taxes & Fees
Operational Fee
All checks paid by card are subject to a 3% operational fee. When paying with cash, the fee will be removed.
Corkage Fee
$25 per bottle
Service Charge:
20% for parties of 6 or greater and for special events, like Mercy of the Chef and Afternoon Tea.
Taxes:
South Carolina & Dorchester County Sales & Hospitality Taxes
As required by Dorchester County, we include the following taxes in your final bill:
Retail Sales Tax
Total: 7%
6% – SC State Sales Tax
1% – Dorchester County Local Option Sales Tax (Voted on by county taxpayers.)
Additional Hospitality & Liquor Taxes
Restaurants: 2% hospitality tax on food and beverages (9% total tax)
Liquor: 5% excise tax on liquor sales, collected at the point of sale.
